I've seen several others complain about a missing gcc dependency
when they did in fact have gcc installed, on fedora 7. After
a bit of fumbling and searching of the mailing list, I discovered
that I was actually missing a c++ dependency (g++).

So, the point of my post is simply to point out that the required
dependency is gcc-c++,

$ su -
# yum install gcc-c++

I was surprised that g++ was packaged as gcc-c++, but I was really
surpised that it wasn't reinstalled during my upgrade from FC6 to
Fedora 7. Anyway, as soon as I installed that, the make/install
configuration went flawlessly.
